Universal Tecnomed demineralizers are able to remove dissolved salts in the water. Columns containing ion exchange resins hold the salts of the net water by leaking demineralized water to a quality that varies from 0.1 us to 30us depending on the amount of salts in the incoming water.
This quality complies with the requirements of the EN13060 standard on the purity of water for the supply of small sterilizers and not only.
The disposable cartridge contains a universal, mixed bed resin of excellent quality that is able to demineralise water to a value very near 0μS. Replace the DTP02U disposable demineraliser once a month when working at full capacity.
If not properly treated, water reaching the instruments may contain organic substances that can cause unpleasant odours and tastes. The activated carbon in the disposable cartridge filters out chlorine, unpleasant odours and tastes, and cloudiness, leaving only pure water reach the patient’s mouth.
A correct flow rate is essential for effective demineralisation. If the incoming flow rate is too high, the demineralisation process cannot function correctly.
The flow regulator supplied with the unit lets you maintain a constant flow of incoming water to ensure a correct demineralising action.
